Katie at SAB

From Flickr:
Katie at SAB

Katie at SAB, originally uploaded by nicola.

Katie arrived on Saturday, and we went up to Lincoln Center on Sunday morning to get her checked into the SAB summer program. Lots of young ballerinas we lined up outside, and many long-suffering well-to-do parents looked prepared to wait for the long haul. I couldn't stay with Katie the whole day, but I haven't heard much from her since yesterday so I assume that means that everything is totally fine and she is very busy getting all settled in. SAB shares dorms and facilities with Julliard, and they are right on Lincoln Center and not to far away from Columbia and the cool stuff around there.

I'm due to leave for the UK on Sunday, and plan to see Belinda and Ashley and Gil while I'm there.

Mom stopped by NYC on her way to Italy with the LACMA Costume Council - we had a fun time just hanging out in Brooklyn. Here are some pictures from our trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. see pictures

I'll be travelling to the Dominican Republic in June for vacation, and to the UK in July for a conference. Katie is coming out to New York for a summer dance program on the 25th of June, as far as I know, so I'll be around for that.

You know, if no one sends me info, I will just post about my own family! =P Feel free to send me pics and updates.

Easter: West Coast Edition

Mom and Dad sent me some pictures. The first two are from Easter at their house. Also, they sent me a picture of Michael and his friend outside his house in Oakland - looks pretty nice to me.

Updates!

Hasn't been much activity here, I know. I'd like to get people to use the site more, say a little about what they're doing. Don't worry, this site won't show up on Google (or any search engine for that matter), so you don't have to worry about someone finding it or anything.

I'll start:

I just started work in a new position at the University. I'm working for a different group in ITS now, dealing more with systems that the University provides, like email, websites, etc. The people are fun, and I'm learning a lot. I still live in Brooklyn, and it's very cold here right now. In the summer, I hope to take a trip to Croatia, and still want to go out and visit Belinda in England at some point. Looking forward to my birthdy on April 7th, not sure what I will do to celebrate. What is everyone else up to? (You can leave your answer in the comments.)
