Christmas Eve pics
Here are some John took on Christmas Eve, if you'd like to share your Christmas pics, you can always sign up for a flickr account at http://flickr.com/signup. Plus, there are a bunch of other online photo services that you can use, including Google's Picasa.
Alternatively, if you'd like to send me your photos, I can put them online. You can mail me a CD or DVD and can get my address from my Mom.

Christmas site
The Christmas site is now available! Go to http://xmas.monatfamily.com and you can get started creating your lists.
Hopefully you'll notice that the site works a little differently. It's using a technology approach called Ajax to achieve a more fluid and responsive interface. Please let me know if you have any problems or questions about this. I have tested it on Mac Firefox and Safari as well as Windows XP Firefox and Internet Explorer. If you have Windows Vista, I'm not sure if everything will work, as I haven't tested it with that system.
Also, if you don't like your pictures, feel free to send me a new one. Just make sure its a larger picture and your face is clear and not too tiny.

Los Angeles Tourist?
Gregg will be returning with me to Los Angeles this Christmas, and I'm already trying to brainstorm some new and exciting things to do when we're in town. Last Christmas we managed to hit up some fun things, so now I'm really scratching my head.
Here's what we did last time:
- George C. Page Museum (aka La Brea Tar Pits)
- LACMA
- Santa Monica Pier
- Pan Pacific Park
- Hollywood Forever Cemetery
- Barnesdale Art Park and Hollyhock House
- Getty Museum (new one)
- Venice Beach
- Santa Monica Beach (where we had brunch at Back to the Beach)
- IN and OUT
- Jack in the Box
- Swingers (the Diner)
Things I am thinking about for this year:
- Definitely the Griffith Observatory
- Pink's and/or Tail o' the Pup
- Phillipe's
Suggestions??? We are particularly interested in old-style LA places and eating establishments. Has DuParr's reopened yet?
Oh, and I'm still working on the Christmas List site - it will be rejuvenated soon!

It's getting colder.
Perhaps on the West Coast, you haven't noticed it. There's a definite chill in the air. It may snow tonight.
Well, I can't argue as we've had an unseasonably warm Fall for the most part. I'm still optimistic since the holiday season is still yet to come. It's after the festivities that I get depressed, since it usually takes another 3 months to get warm again, with few days off in sight.
At least we have Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Anyway, have fun looking at the pictures I took when Belinda took Gregg and I down to Essex, CT.

It's that time again...
You maybe wondering about the online gift registry - or maybe you're not, I don't know. But here it is again:
Hopefully, the address is a little easier to remember this time. The usernames and password are the same as before (username is just your first name, first letter capitalized), email me if you have any problems remembering your password. If a lot of people have problems, I may just email them out again.
The site is pretty much unchanged, but I did flush out all the list items from last year, so we could start from scratch. I may also be making minor adjustments as we go, but these shouldn't effect you.
